FemInPEM aims to provide a unique conference networking opportunity for allies and advocates of women working in pediatric emergency medicine (PEM). Our goal is to highlight challenges and solutions for promoting equity and advancement of women in our professional field.

This is a one-day conference consisting of a keynote address, TED-style personal talks, breakout sessions, and some unique & creative networking activities.
The conference includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, a little bit of swag, and a LOT of energy and inspiration.

About
Medical Student Ambassadors
One of the unique features of the FeminPEM conference is our medical student ambassador role. Each year, 2-4 medical students are selected from a diverse group of applicants to serve as conference ambassadors.
The primary role of a student ambassador includes:

Planning and promoting the conference

Assisting with CME content creation
-
Coordinating day-of logistics, wayfinding, Q&A, and more
Student ambassadors also:
-
Participate in one-on-one adademic & career mentoring
-
Meet & network with PEM providers from across the country

Attend the 2025 FeminPEM conference free of charge
The application for 2025 student ambassadors has closed; the committee is reviewing applicants and will make their selections by mid-May.

Enthusiastic, motivated, passionate students who did not have a chance to apply this year, please apply next year!
Speakers & Sessions
Each FeminPEM conference features TED-style personal talks as well as a variety breakout sessions. At the time of registration, participants will have the opportunity to select which breakout sessions they would prefer to attend. The planning committee makes every effort to place participants in their top choice sessions.
We are always open to suggestions about speaker and session topics - please contact us via email if you have specific ideas.
